Maidenhead man denies encouraging support for IS terror charge

A man from Berkshire has appeared in court accused of encouraging support for a banned organisation.

Mohammed Sufiyan Choudry, 22, from Maidenhead, pleaded not guilty to encouraging people to join the Islamic State group.

Mr Choudry is accused of addressing a meeting in Luton on 2 July, 2015.

He appeared before London's Westminster Magistrates' Court earlier and has been remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey on Friday.
