Two arrested after Bournemouth bookmakers raided by axe robbers

Two men have been arrested after a Bournemouth bookmakers was raided by axe-wielding robbers.

The men entered Corals on Lower Columbia Road, threatened staff and stole a quantity of cash at about 14:00 GMT on Wednesday, police said.

There were no customers in the shop during the raid and no members of staff were injured.

A 30-year-old man and a 27-year-old man, both from Bournemouth, have been arrested on suspicion of robbery

Police said the suspects wore black scarves and hooded tops.
