Bracknell water pipe repair roads reopen for Christmas period

Roads in Bracknell that have been shut for water pipe repairs are to reopen until 4 January.

The £1.7m project to reduce the risk of flooding caused road closures in Ringmead between Birch Hill Lane and Kimberley and Knightswood.

South East Water said all work would be cleared away between Christmas Eve and 4 January. About 3.8km (2.6 miles) of pipeline is being replaced.

Residents have suffered repeated problems with burst pipes in the past.

Work started in August and this section is expected to be finished in April, South East Water said.

It will start again between the junction of Kimberley to Juniper on 4 January.
