Two men armed with handgun and axe rob Slough bookies

Two men armed with a handgun and an axe have robbed a Slough bookmakers.

Police said at 19:20 GMT on Friday two men entered Corals on Lower Cippenham Lane, Cippenham, threatened staff and stole a quantity of cash.

There were a number of customers in the shop at the time of the robbery and police said it was a "very frightening experience".

A 29-year-old man has now been arrested in connection with the incident and bailed until 16 January next year.

Police are appealing for witnesses and said the first suspect was white, about 5ft 9in to 6ft tall, aged in his 30s or 40s, and was wearing dark clothing.

The second suspect was black, around 5ft 7in, and was wearing dark clothing and had a scarf covering his face.
