The 21-year-old victim was stabbed in the back outside Sub 89 in Friar Street at about 02:15 GMT on Saturday.

He has been taken to hospital to have his wounds treated.

Roads were closed while investigations were carried out. The offender is described as black and was wearing a black leather jacket with a motif.

Det Sgt Sara Harrison, from Thames Valley Police, said: "There were obviously a lot of people in the club and surrounding area at the time of the assault and I would like anyone who witnessed it, or has any information about it, to contact us."
