Cyclist killed in Newbury was 'loving and caring dad'

A cyclist who died in a collision with a van in Berkshire was a "loving and caring father", his family has said.

David Badcock, 53, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash on Hambridge Road in Newbury shortly after 10:00 BST on 6 August.

A statement by his three children, issued through Thames Valley Police, said: "He always had a positive attitude and a great sense of humour."

His sister said his death would "leave a huge hole in our lives".
