West Berkshire gypsy site call-out to landowners

Landowners in West Berkshire have been asked to consider their land as sites for gypsies and travellers.

The local authority currently has one site for 18 pitches in Padworth Common, but is looking for other areas as part of an assessment into housing needs.

Criteria includes safe and easy access to main roads and local amenities as well as on-site facilities.

Any suggested areas for permanent sites will form part of the council's Housing Site Allocations Development Plan.
