A Berkshire pensioner who died after being hit by a tipper truck will be "greatly missed", her family said.

Ethel Tull, 83, suffered serious head injuries when she was struck by an Iveco Daly Tipper in Tamar Way, Langley, on Friday evening.

She was taken to Wexham Park Hospital in Slough but died from her injuries on Saturday morning.

The tipper driver was unhurt. Police have appealed for witnesses to come forward.

In a statement, her family said her death would leave a "great hole" in their lives.

The mother-of-one and grandmother-of-two lived in Langley most of her life and was described as a popular, independent pensioner with many great friends.
