Alcohol ban for Bull pub in Bracknell

A Berkshire pub has been banned from selling alcohol for 48 hours after staff were caught selling to under 18s.

The Bull pub in Bracknell High Street will not be able to sell alcohol over part of the bank holiday weekend.

Through test purchases, Bracknell Forest Council Trading Standards found staff selling alcohol to under-18s twice in the past three months.

Trading standards' Robert Sexton said "It seems that at The Bull our training and advice hasn't been taken on board."

The pub will not be allowed to sell alcohol from from 11:00 BST on Friday, 26 August 26 until 11:00 BST on Sunday, 28 August, although it can stay open to sell soft drinks and food.

The landlord of the pub was approached by the BBC but was unavailable for comment.
