Body of man discovered in River Thames in Eton

A man's body has been pulled from the River Thames in Berkshire.

Police were called to The Brocas, off Meadow Lane, Eton, on Tuesday at about 1530 GMT when the discovery was made by a passer-by.

An inquiry has started into the death of the man, aged between 50 and 70, which is being treated as unexplained but not thought to be suspicious.

A police spokesman said post-mortem tests would be carried out on Thursday to find the cause of death.

The man was found wearing a black jacket, black fleece top and blue jeans.
