Man arrested over failed car robbery in Maidenhead


Police have arrested a man after a suspected gunman ordered a woman out of her car in Berkshire.

The woman, in her 40s, was in a leisure centre car park in Holmanleaze Walk, Maidenhead, on Monday at 2220 GMT.

She told officers that a man opened the door of her car and threatened her with what is believed to be a gun. When she refused to get out, the man fled.

Thames Valley Police said a 20-year-old man was arrested nearby on suspicion of attempted robbery. He is in custody.
