Charity concert for Thatcham fatal ice fall boy
A concert is being held in memory of a schoolboy who died after falling through a frozen garden pond.
Tommy Hudson, six, was found after falling through ice into the pond in Burys Bank Road, Crookham Common, near Thatcham in Berkshire, on 5 January.
He died two weeks later and a coroner recorded a verdict of accidental death.
The Newbury Corn Exchange event was due to get under way on Sunday afternoon to raise cash for Thames Valley and Chiltern Air Ambulance Trust.
Money raised will also go to Ronald McDonald House at Oxford's John Radcliffe Hospital and the Berkshire Autistic Society.
The concert will feature dance and music groups, plus a solo performance from Tommy's uncle, Jim Rosser.
The inquest into the death of Tommy, who was mildly autistic, heard he had been in his garden with his friend Amelia Cole for about 20 minutes when Amelia, five, ran into the house and raised the alarm.
Amelia's mother, Cheryl, waded in to search for the boy but was quickly up to her waist in icy water.
