Lorry carrying skips hits railway bridge in Hertford

A lorry carrying empty skips has hit a railway bridge, injuring one person and causing disruption to train services.

It happened on the A119 North Road in Hertford at about 08:30 BST.

Network Rail said services were initially stopped and then ran at a reduced speed while the bridge was inspected. Services have since returned to normal.

One person was taken to hospital to be treated for their injuries. The road was also closed for a time.
