Milton Keynes rape investigation discontinued
An investigation into a rape allegation has been discontinued following "extensive inquiries", police said.
A woman reported she had been attacked by a man on Thursday afternoon after he forced his way into a residential property in Milton Keynes.
Det Insp Ian Jarvis, of Thames Valley Police, said: "This investigation has now concluded and police are no longer investigating an allegation of rape."
The attack was alleged to have happened on Hutton Avenue in Oldbrook.
Gez Chiariello, police commander for Milton Keynes, said: "I want to reassure the local community that we take all reports of rape seriously and always investigate the individual circumstances.
"If anyone has any concerns I would ask them to speak to their local neighbour team."
