Man injured in targeted shooting in High Wycombe

A man has been injured in targeted shooting, says Thames Valley Police.

The victim, in his early 30s, was shot in Hithercroft Road, Downley, High Wycombe, at about 16:30 GMT on Sunday.

Thames Valley Police said the man required immediate medical attention, but his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Police are carrying out inquiries in the area and have appealed for information.

Det Insp Brendan Murray said: "I would like to reassure the public that this attack appears to have been targeted against an individual and does not represent a threat to the community of Downley or the surrounding areas."
