Peterborough prison death inmate named as Terry Ojuederie

A 42-year-old man who was killed in a prison has been named.

Terry Ojuederie, from Watford, was pronounced dead at HMP Peterborough after police were called to reports of violence on Wednesday morning.

A 25-year-old man, also an inmate at the prison, has been arrested on suspicion of murder. He has returned to prison while police inquiries continue.

Police said he was due to return to Thorpe Wood Police Station in Peterborough in March.

Ojuederie's family said he was "a lively, loveable, friendly character" who was well known in the Watford area.

In a statement issued via police, they added: "He will be sadly missed by everyone who knew him, in particular his partner, children and loved ones."
