Three people killed after two cars collided head-on in Bedfordshire have been identified by police.

A red Jaguar XS and a silver Vauxhall Corsa crashed on the B530 in Fancott near Toddington, on Tuesday night.

Corsa driver Stephen Evans, 20, from Luton, died at the scene.

His passengers, Rebecca Nabarro, 23, and Casey Flissikowski, 18, both from Luton, were also killed. A fourth passenger, a 19-year-old man, is in hospital with serious injuries.

The driver of the Jaguar, a 65-year-old man, also from the Luton area and who was travelling alone, is being treated for "serious injuries" in hospital.

The cars were travelling in opposite directions when they collided 860m (2,821 ft) south of the junction with the A5120 Harlington Road.

Police have appealed for witnesses, saying they are particularly keen to speak to the driver of a vehicle that was travelling in front of the Corsa before the crash.
