Shahana Uddin murder inquiry: Eight arrested released on bail
Eight people arrested on suspicion of murdering a teenager found dead at a house in Watford have been bailed.
Shahana Uddin, 19, died from injuries at a property in Leavesden Road on Saturday. She had been physically assaulted, murder detectives said.
Four men, three women and a girl, all from Watford, were arrested between Saturday and Wednesday.
They have been released on conditional bail until December, Hertfordshire Police said.
Officers went to the house at about 09:15 BST after reports of "concern for the welfare of a woman at the property".
Four men, aged 23, 26, 32 and 34 were arrested on suspicion of the teenager's murder on Saturday.
On Tuesday two women and a girl were held on suspicion of her murder.
A 24-year-old woman was arrested on Wednesday, also on suspicion of murder.
All eight suspects have been released on bail "with strict conditions", until 15 December, police said.
Det Insp Fraser Wylie appealed to friends who might have seen Miss Uddin - also known as Shehana - on Friday, or anyone she "may have confided in", to come forward.
"A young woman has lost her life and we need to establish what has happened to her and find those responsible. I would urge you to please do the right thing and call us," he said.
