Chihuahua swing case: Hatfield man Alfie Loft charged with animal cruelty

A man has been charged with causing unnecessary suffering to a dog after allegedly swinging a Chihuahua by its lead.

The alleged incident happened on Thursday at about 18:00 BST in Stevenage.

Alfie Loft, 19, from Hatfield, was charged earlier by Hertfordshire Police.

He has been remanded in custody and will appear before Hatfield Magistrates' Court on Monday.
