Biggleswade Asda car park death: Alan Watts in court

A man has appeared in court charged with the manslaughter of a 64-year-old who died after an alleged row in an Asda car park.

Brian Holmes suffered a head injury in the disabled parking area of the store in Biggleswade, Bedfordshire, on 3 August. He died the next day.

Alan Watts, 65, of Lindsell Crescent, Biggleswade, appeared at Bedford Magistrates' Court.

He was bailed to appear at Luton Crown Court on 28 August.

Days before his death, Mr Holmes, of Sandy, was given the all-clear following treatment for cancer.

Police have appealed for witnesses to come forward.
