Woman and boy injured by falling tree
A woman and a 10-year-old boy have been taken to hospital after a tree fell on their vehicle in Hertfordshire.
Emergency services were called to the incident in Shenley at about 07:50 GMT.
The woman and the boy, who were travelling in a red Vauxhall Vectra, suffered minor injuries, the East of England Ambulance Service said.
They were both taken to Barnet General Hospital for treatment. Elsewhere, a fallen tree caused disruption in Harpenden Road in St Albans.
The London Midland train service was temporarily suspended between Watford Junction and St Albans Abbey after a tree fell on to the line at How Wood.
