Two teenagers have appeared in court charged with the murder of a 21-year-old man in Hertfordshire.

Billy Dove, from Hemel Hempstead, died from his wounds after the incident in the town centre early on Sunday.

Two 17-year-old youths from the town, who cannot be named because of their age, appeared before St Albans Crown Court and were remanded in custody.

Because it was a preliminary hearing, the youths were not required to enter any pleas.

Judge Michael Baker QC was told that a provisional trial date has been fixed for next May.

Two other men, aged 18 and 47, have been arrested in connection with the death.

The 18-year-old man was arrested on Wednesday on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder, police said.

A 47-year-old was also arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm.

Both have been released on police bail until 13 December.
