Bishop's Stortford man dies in Stansted coach crash

A man in his 80s died when he was struck by a coach on a dual carriageway in Hertfordshire.

The victim had parked his red Jaguar in a layby on the A120, near the roundabout at the B1383 Stansted Road, Bishop's Stortford.

Police said they believe he was trying to cross the carriageway when a white coach travelling towards Stansted Airport hit him at 1000 GMT.

He died at the scene. Witnesses are asked to contact Hertfordshire Police.

The road was closed in both directions and along the A1184 for a number of hours.
