Luton park murder charge boy in court

A 17-year-old boy has appeared in court charged with the murder of a teenager stabbed at a park in Luton.

Michael Simwanza, 17, was found with stab wounds at Kingsway Recreation Ground on Saturday and died in hospital soon after.

The 17-year-old, who cannot be named because of his age, appeared at Luton Magistrates' Court earlier and spoke only to give his details.

He was remanded in custody to appear at the same court next week.
