Boy, 15, injured in knife attack outside home in Luton

A boy has undergone surgery after being slashed across the face with a knife in an attack outside his family home in Luton.

The 15-year-old was in Catsbrook Road, Limbury, in the early hours of Friday when he was approached by a man who immediately began to attack him.

He slashed his face with a knife, causing serious injuries.

The boy was taken to the Luton and Dunstable Hospital. Police said they do not have a description of the attacker.

Det Con Dan Matcham said: "This was a vicious assault causing a serious injury that could possibly scar this young man for life.

"We need to catch this attacker and I appeal to the public for their help.

"If you were in the Catsbrook Road area between midnight and 0100 BST, please get in contact with us.

"We would also like to hear from anybody who knows the attacker or who may have information about why the incident occurred."
