NHS health checks on offer in Norfolk pharmacies
Health checks are being offered by the NHS in pharmacies across Norfolk.
The "body MOT" assesses a person's risk of developing a stroke, type-two diabetes, heart and kidney disease.
Lucy Macleod, from NHS Norfolk, said: "People aged between 40 and 74 can pick up some healthy lifestyle advice, tailored to them for free."
Norfolk NHS advise anyone eligible to contact their local pharmacy or GP for a health check or respond to an invitation if they are offered one.
Pharmacy manager Chris Ball, from Hurns Chemist in Norwich, which offers the checks, said: "I think its a good thing to be offering the seemingly healthy population of Norfolk.
"If they walk through the door to buy toiletries, they may see the health check on offer and decide to take it up, whereas they wouldn't necessarily go to their GP unless they feel unwell."
