Boys hit lorry with paving slabs from road bridge

A lorry's roof was badly damaged by slabs of concrete thrown by two boys from a road bridge in Hertfordshire.

A lorry driver on the A10 Cheshunt northbound carriageway saw two teenage boys wave at him on Thursday afternoon before he heard two large bangs.

Two slabs of concrete paving had smashed through the lorry's glass fibre roof causing about £1,700 of damage.

Pc Nicholas Shuttlewood said the "reckless" act had put road users' lives in serious danger.

The two boys have been described as white and aged between 11 and 16 years old.
