Tributes to Oxford teacher Stephen Piper killed in crash

A school has paid tribute to a teacher who died in a car crash in Oxford.

Drama teacher Stephen Piper, 28, died after his Suzuki Swift crashed into a bus shelter at 03:30 BST on Saturday on Eynsham Road, Botley.

Mr Piper, who was also a performer, died at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.

City of Oxford College, where he taught, has paid tribute to the "extremely talented dancer and performer".

A spokesperson said: "As a teacher at City of Oxford College, [he] inspired many young people to begin their careers in the performing arts."

The college is offering counselling services to students who have been effected by the teacher's death.

PC Duncan Vale said: "We are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen the vehicle in the lead up to the collision, or the collision itself."
