Portslade ex-teacher cleared of indecent assault

A retired teacher has been found not guilty of indecently assaulting pupils.

Geoffrey Parkin, 68, from Moreton-in-Marsh, Gloucestershire, was cleared of five charges of abusing six boys aged 11 and 12.

The offences were alleged to have taken place while he was a teacher at Portslade School for Boys in East Sussex, which closed in the late 1970s.

Mr Parkin was found not guilty of two charges of indecently assaulting boys in another trial last year.
