Two charged over dozens of break-ins in Kent and Surrey

Two men have been charged with committing a burglary "crime spree" across Kent and Surrey.

In total, 25 break-ins took place between 23 September and 7 December, Surrey Police said.

Of those, nine burglaries took place in Kent with the rest being committed in Surrey, mainly in the Tandridge area.

A 22-year-old man from Croydon and a 25-year-old man from Bromley have been charged with conspiring to enter addresses with intent to steal.

"High value items were stolen during this crime spree including jewellery, electrical items and vehicles," a Surrey Police spokesman said.

The pair were released on bail and are due to appear at Redhill Magistrates' Court on 4 April.
