Hampshire man denies assaulting two police officers in Hungerford

A man who was arrested after two police officers were injured at the scene of a road crash has denied assault.

Thames Valley Police were called to Combe Road in Hungerford on 26 December after a van ended up in a ditch.

The officers, a man and a woman, were taken to hospital and later discharged.

Mark Davies, 45, of Ravenswood Road, London, but formerly from Andover in Hampshire, has pleaded not guilty to assault, causing actual bodily harm, and criminal damage.

He entered the pleas during an appearance at Reading Crown Court and was bailed to appear again on 13 June.
