Police probe 'stabbing' at East Sussex hunt meeting

Police are investigating the reported stabbing of an anti-hunt protester at a meeting in East Sussex.

A 20-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm following claims a 51-year-old demonstrator was wounded in the hand at the Eridge Hunt, near Crowborough.

Public disorder incidents were also reported at Saturday's meeting.

Sussex Police said: "Also being investigated are minor assaults, public disorder, theft and criminal damage."

The suspect was released on bail until December 21.
