Flood defences have come down in Shrewsbury as river levels drop, the Environment Agency has said.

A flood alert for the River Severn in Shropshire was removed on Monday, but one remains in place where the Severn and Vyrnwy join around Maesbrook.

The Environment Agency warned some roads in the area could be affected.

Frankwell car park in Shrewsbury is expected to reopen fully later, once the flood defences are removed near the guildhall.
