James Barrett charged over M6 death crash

A man has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving after a motorway crash between a car and a lorry.

Passenger Haroon Raja, 33, was killed in the crash, on the northbound carriageway of the M6 near Coleshill, Warwickshire.

James Barrett, 33, from Triumph Walk in Castle Bromwich is also charged with causing serious injury by dangerous driving to lorry driver Mark Berry.

The crash happened early on 6 July.

Mr Barrett is due to appear before Birmingham Magistrates' Court on 20 November.
