A 95-year-old man is to be charged with a string of historic child sex offences, prosecutors have said.

Jack Mount, from Devon, faces 32 allegations spanning a 25-year period between 1954 and 1979.

The Crown Prosecution Service said he is accused of committing the offences against 12 victims, both male and female.

Mr Mount has been summoned to appear before Birmingham Magistrates' Court on 31 October.

West Midlands district Crown Prosecutor Wendy Bounds said she had authorised West Mercia Police to charge Mr Mount on Thursday.
