M11 and A14 'wrong way' van driver admits five charges

A 19-year-old man has pleaded guilty to stealing a van and driving it 50 miles the wrong way up the M11 and A14 in Cambridgeshire.

Ryan Nee, from Harebell Way in Romford, admitted charges of burglary, dangerous driving, theft, having no insurance and no driving licence.

He was remanded in custody at Basildon Crown Court for sentencing on 22 September.

The court heard he took the van from Stock Road in Billericay on 21 May.

He drove the vehicle north on the southbound carriageway until stopped at Godmanchester on the A14 in Cambridgeshire.
