The body of a missing Blackpool father-of-three has been found at the base of a Cumbrian fell.

Chay Lancaster, 41, went missing after leaving his mother's home in Torsway Avenue, Blackpool on 11 September 2010.

Following reports he was seen in Windermere the next day, the local mountain rescue searched the Langdale Pikes area but he was not found.

His body was found by walkers at the base of Blake Rigg on 28 July. Police said his death was not suspicious.

A police spokesman said his remains had been returned to his family and an inquest would be held to establish the cause of his death.
