Hotel chain under administration will 'honour' wedding bookings

Administrators who have taken over a chain of hotels in Surrey and Hampshire have said they will honour all existing wedding bookings.

Hollybourne Hotels, which employs 200 people across five sites, was taken over by Zolfo Cooper.

The administrators said the hotels will continue to trade as usual and they "fully intend to honour" the "healthy number" of existing bookings.

They plan to put the hotels on the market "in due course".

The hotel chain comprises, Alton House Hotel, in Alton, Hampshire, Red Lion Hotel, in Basingstoke, Hampshire, Manor House Hotel, in Guildford, Surrey, Georgian House Hotel in Haslemere, Surrey and Farnham House Hotel, in Farnham, Surrey.

The administrators said they were called in after the chain failed to agree credit terms with its lender.
