Bolton biker-death-crash lorry driver pleads guilty

A lorry driver has admitted killing a motorcyclist in a crash in Greater Manchester.

Andrew Patton, 32, of Holyoake Road, Worsley, pleaded guilty to causing death by careless driving or inconsiderate driving.

Michael Stockton, 59, of St Helens, Merseyside, died when he was hit by Patton's lorry on Bradford Road, Bolton, on 5 September 2013.

The defendant is due to be sentenced on 14 February, at Bolton Crown Court.

Mr Stockton's family said he was on his way to work at the time of the crash.
