A CCTV image has been issued as Essex Police search for a 38-year-old man who went missing after a Christmas party.

Edward Gillespie, from Luton, was last seen at the Roydon Marina Hotel near Harlow after the works party on Friday 21 December.

Police have spoken to more than 100 people who were at the marina but want to talk to a woman captured on camera.

Supt Luke Collison said: "It is believed she would have seen Ed as she walked through the marina."

Mr Gillespie was last seen at the celebration at Henderson's Bar & Grill at the marina.

Officers believe the woman in the image would have seen him in the early hours of Saturday 22 December.

Supt Collison said: "The more time that has passed without any contact, the more concerned we have become for his welfare.

"Despite an intensive search of the marina and the surrounding area, we still have no hard evidence to indicate what has happened to him and, in the absence of that, we continue to keep an open mind."

Mr Gillespie's car was found at a chalet at the marina where he was supposed to have been staying.

His glasses were also found close to the marina.

Essex police have continued to search the River Stort, boats, the hotel and its grounds.
