Tourist attractions across south-east England have been shortlisted for a series of awards.

Several businesses in Surrey, Kent and Sussex are finalists in Tourism South East's Beautiful South Awards.

Farnham Castle, in Surrey, has been nominated for business tourism and the Joss Bay Surf School, in Broadstairs, Kent, has been shortlisted for sports tourism.

The winners will be announced on 1 December.

Jeff Toms, from Farnham Castle, said: "Our major charitable objective is the preservation of the castle buildings and grounds.

"However, it is our business-minded approach to the preservation and maintenance of the castle for the benefit of community that I believe has resulted in us being selected as a finalist for this prestigious award."

Shortlisted attractions in Sussex include West Marden Farm, in Chichester, and Bardown Farm Holiday Cottages, in Wadhurst.
