Winston Churchill: Oscar Nemon statue in House of Commons


There was a mutual admiration between Winston Churchill and sculptor Oscar Nemon, so it was natural that he would be commissioned to cast the figure of the former prime minister in bronze.

Because MPs considered it lucky to touch the bronze statue of Sir Winston, the foot of the figure had to be restored.
