Ipswich woman jailed for hiding killer's knives
A woman from Suffolk has been sent to a young offenders' institution for two years for hiding the knives her boyfriend used to kill his friend.
Shana Langston, 20, of Browning Road, Ipswich, was sentenced at Norwich Crown Court for assisting an offender.
Ryan Bowers was given a life sentence for murdering Anthony Adams at his home in Thetford in a row over stolen drugs.
The court had heard Langston encouraged Bowers to leave the scene and hid the knives he had used in the stabbing.
Bowers, who was convicted of murder on 18 January, was told he must serve a minimum of 20 years in jail before he can be considered for parole.
Bowers had claimed he had acted in self defence and had not meant to kill the victim.
