M40 wheel grab coach crash man jailed

A man has been jailed for a year for causing a crash which left a coach on its side on an embankment on the M40 in Buckinghamshire.

The Oxford Tube double-decker coach to London crashed on 30 August last year.

Thomas Roby, 21, of Cavell Road, Oxford, grabbed the wheel from the driver and the coach overturned, police said.

He pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing to causing danger to road users by interfering with a vehicle.

He was sentenced at Aylesbury Crown Court, which was sitting at Wycombe Magistrates' Court.
