Gatwick Airport said services have returned to normal following the recent wintry weather.

The West Sussex airport resumed flights on Friday at 0600 GMT after heavy snow and icy conditions shut the runway for two days.

A spokeswoman said: "Gatwick Airport is operating as normal today.

"There may be some knock-on delays following yesterday's Spanish strike action, however, most flights are running to schedule."

Gatwick Express also said all its services were running to schedule on Sunday.

Elsewhere in Sussex, Southeastern Trains said it planned to run a normal service on Sunday and Monday.

Southern Railway said it would be running its usual Sunday timetable but there were rail replacement buses between Epsom and Dorking as part of engineering work.
