Cannabis worth £2m seized at Harwich port

Cannabis valued at more than £2m has been found hidden in a lorry at Harwich port by the UK Border Agency.

The drugs were hidden in a lorry carrying heating equipment which had arrived on a ferry from the Hook of Holland on Monday.

Border officials said the lorry was heading to a business in Corby, Northamptonshire, and there were no signs it was involved in smuggling.

A 53-year-old Dutch man has been charged with illegal drug importing.
