Remembering WWII blitz on Coventry


To mark 70 years since Coventry was devastated in a bombing raid by the German military, BBC Midlands Today has taken to the skies above the city.

German bombing maps, some dated 1939, show how the car factories were prime targets in the war.

RAF surveillance shots from 1946 recorded the damage from the bombs but now, peace has brought with it an expansion of housing estates and new industries, although some residents still remember November 1940.
