Durham young people have their say over crime

More than 100 young people from around the UK are to gather in Darlington to have their say on tackling crime.

The town's football club is hosting the national conference organised by the Youth Independent Advisory Group.

It will be made up of people aged between 13 and 24 who advise justice agencies on policies and practice from a young person's perspective.

The event takes place on Thursday and is funded by the County Durham and Darlington Criminal Justice Board.
