Funding approved for 'green' homes in Darlington

The government has approved funding of £4m for plans to build 106 "green" homes in Darlington

Tees Valley Housing plans to build the houses on the sites of three former schools at Glebe Road, in the town's Beaumont Hill area.

The houses will be positioned to "catch the sun" to maximise the benefits of solar panel rooftops.
