Kristy Bamu family 'will never forget Kristy'

The family of a 15-year-old boy murdered because his killers believed he was possessed of evil spirits, have said they will never forget him.

Fifteen-year-old Kristy Bamu drowned in a bath on Christmas Day in 2010, during torture to produce exorcism, an Old Bailey jury heard.

Eric Bikubi, 28, and Magalie Bamu, aged 29, from Newham, east London, were found guilty of murder at the Old Bailey and will be sentenced on Monday.

In a statement read by Det Supt Terry Sharpe of the Metropolitan Police, Kristy Bamu's family said they "will strive to move forward".
